History & Founder

YouthNet is a Bermuda registered charity formed in 1996 as a school-based mentoring programme. The programme was founded by Mr. Cornell Fubler who perceived a tremendous opportunity for mentors in Bermuda. In the past
decade, the organization has experienced significant growth, forging relationships with over 2,000 volunteers and 20 of Bermuda’s public and private schools. This has afforded YouthNet the ability to reach and serve close to 4,000 students in primary, middle and senior schools and college. YouthNet is now the largest mentoring programme in Bermuda.

CEO

Executive Director – Clare Mello“We recognize education plays a vital role in preparing young people to take advantage of the possibilities and opportunities available to them. Therefore, our YouthNet mentoring programmes are designed not to replace nor compete, but to augment youth development and literacy initiatives that are already in place in our schools.”
